With the casting ability of the weight as low as 0.6gram(1/50oz), The new BFS version of the Gravity reel is going to be the best BFS reel in the market. The reel employed a 28mm dia. spool which weighs only 5.2gram(without bearing). Total weight is only 5.1oz. Out of the box casts 1/64th Oz trout magnets like a dream, Have it setup on a 2gram bfs rod and it works amazing for the price. Casts further and more accurate than any of my ultralight setups. Very good quality reel and all of the parts seem well made.
What a great reel. I throw everything on it Ned rig to tiny roostertails. The casting distance is amazing right uo there with my diawas and shimanos. Don't think twice about it. It is worth it.
I bought the BFS for small mouth fishing on the river. I love it. my go to is a spinning rod. but this may have me changed. Great reel easy to use and set. I got to use it this weekend for the first time and fished all day with it and it preformed perfect. a lot of reel for the money.
