My first composite rod paired with a Daiwa Tatula 100 on straight fluorocarbon, it has a very nice feel. The Grinder is great for crankbaits or chatterbaits. I prefer the shorter length compared to the B-Hittay for a little more accuracy, sacrificing some distance. Using this rod I can even feel some of the vibration from my crankbait rattles. I have yet to catch a bass with this rod, but I was able to feel a strike from a bream that was almost smaller than my crankbait.

Bought for a chatterbait rod, not as good as I thought it would be. Handle is big , slightly heavy and wish it was slightly softer. Good component’s nice looking rod, caught fish on it. Gave it 4 stars only because I personally thought it would’ve been better with Brett Hites name on it. Own 20 plus ARK rods and love them all. Good rods just not great.

This is my fifth Tharp Series Casting Rod. We working class bass anglers now have access to affordable rods that are technique specific, light weight, durable, strong, sensitive, aesthetically appealing, and backed by an amazing angler. Thank you

Ark Tharp B-Hittay

I have not used it yet but it looks and feels great. This will be my dedicated chatterbait rod paired with a Shimano Curado DC. I will update once I use it if the weather ever cooperates in southern Vermont.

I’ve bought 3 in the last few months! Excellent rods! My son loves the Hammer series!
