Shallow BFS Spool

I’ll be honest once I realized that Ark had developed the Gravity Avid to offer a bait finesse reel in the sub $100 category. Upon initial impressions; I was interested to see how well it would compare to the original Gravity BFS, and I have to say I’m very impressed! Considering the different spool, I hadn’t expected the same versatility and sort of expected to be relegated to somewhat heavier BFS presentations. This was not the case! This reel does handle some shockingly light lures. I would definitely recommend this reel to anyone looking for a solid starting place to try bait finesse tactics without making a larger financial commitment to it. Well engineered, great price… you cannot miss!

Ark & JIMMY got this one done right! Gave the ANGLERS what they wanted. Something feather light, easy to use out the box, has a drag clicker & can cast a nice distance with a 1.3g Spoon with ease. I think it also would be nice if Ark would sell "extra spools"as an option for BF Avid in the future. This way we can swap spool for PE line & fluorocarbon. Other than that, I can't wait to seen what else i can catch with this reel. #TeamArk

Got mine early from TW. Once you replace the bushings in the knobs and take the slop out it makes it into a solid BFS reel. Honestly prefer this to the original ark bfs and my curado bfs. Colors match my benkei rods perfectly. The tolerances on my copy are tight and feel solid. There is no play anywhere other than the knobs. Casts 1/16 hair jigs on a L benkei with 8lb flouro no problem. I ordered another one for my UL benkei. Thanks for a great product at a great price.
