The patented, adaptive magnetic braking system was developed for casting great distances and an effortless casting experience. A total of 60 settings (20 on each of the 3 dial positions) gives an angler the ability to fine tune the reel for the ultimate in adjustability. This covers everything from ultra finesse to heavy flipping and pitching presentations.
The tapered line guide ring effectively reduces frictional resistance on the line therefore greatly improving casting distance.
The gear system is custom-made from a hard copper alloy material with excellent mechanical properties. The gears feature multi-pass forging and precision machining which greatly improves gear strength and durability. The main gear size was also increased for unrivaled performance.

great Rod and Reel
I haven't had the opportunity to land anything yet with trout season still here in NorCal. However its also getting closer to bass season so im eagerly waiting. My G2 is seated on the Wes Logan Literally Anything rod & spooled with 12lb fluoro. With the Ark custom reel seat, it sets the G2 lower so it gives the angler a better feel or control. A solid build for $99. Sits comfortably in hand which will translate to a much more pleasurable experience while on the banks or boat. I feel less fatigued. Internal brakes are completely different from what I'm used to seeing but easy to understand & adjust as needed. Consistent solid drag. Smooth right out the box. Even smoother with a dab of lube. I will give you a better review when a fish gets landed. Hopefully a PB on this setup comes soon.

Bought 2 of these and paired them up with the Cobb 7’ kitchen sink. I can’t say enough good about them both. I have always used A. Garcia but since trying ARK I have a new favorite and will probably try the Gravity 8 next.
