First off, great rods. Amazing quality. Zero complaints in that area. The only issue I have, and its like a "non-problem", is that I bought the commander series WMD. 6'10" med/heavy extra fast tip. There is nothing heavy about this rod...
Took out 1st trip today and this thing is an amazing MEDIUM rod.
Better than any medium I have ever owned but its waaaay not a heavy action rod. I also bought the Wes Logan signature 7'3" med/heavy fast tip "literally anything" rod. That is the absolute best rod Ive ever fished with, hands down. These two M/H rods are miles apart. Both amazing rods in their own area but I can not throw the same baits on both rods and they are only 5" different and fast tip vs extra fast tip. One could handle 3/4oz jigs and the other might break in one trip throwing 3/4oz. I assumed both these rods would not be the same by no means but this was a shocking difference. I have never had a med/heavy rod with that light of action but it will find its place in the starting lineup for sure, just wish it was it set up closer to the other one.
Pretty good rod nice sensitivity and great casting distance. I know the rod says 1/4-1oz but I've been able to throw a 1/8oz underspin around 60ft without a problem. I haven't caught anything over 3 pounds on it yet but ima able to detect bites from smaller fish without problem.
These are extremely light and durable rods. I’m using the Ranger Version now and I’m loving it. I’m throwing a spinner bait with it and it not only is great for accuracy but I can launch it a long distance as well. I’ve paired it with a Gravity 3 Reel and it’s a perfect match.
This rod performs exceptionally well in every aspect. The best way to appreciate its quality is to experience it for yourself.
