I bought the Gravity 8 reel and put it on a One Eyed Jack Tharp series rod and it OUTCAST my Daiwa elite series reels and my Bates Hundo and the Trika reels
The Gravity line of reels is exceptional. The Gravity 8 lives up to its stated capabilities. This is quickly becoming my work horse reel for everything from light line and lures up to my pitching and flipping setups. It handles everything well. This is a comfortable reel to have in your hand all day, given its compact size. Highly recommend giving the Gravity line a try the next time you are looking for a dependable reel.
Love the reel, I was a die hard Shimano reel guy but I must say the Gravity 8 is just as good! I own 3 of them now and bought my Grandson one as well.
Bass fishing for 38 years. Both Club,Derby's and trials. Have Lews, Shimano,Daiwa and AbuGarcia. Ordered 2 of the Gravity 8s and they are easy to dial in, lightweight and cast great. Will sling a weightless trick worm as an example smile. Exceeded my expectations. Friendly people that make customer service a priority. If you're in the Market for a new baitcaster I highly recommend the Gravity 8.
Basically what the title says. I bought this reel on the bogo sale and when the reel came in, it sounded grinding off the back(no line ). It's okay I use Shimano reels and is use to their silent tune so maybe ark don't have this in their reels, but I couldnt get over spending this much money on a reel this grinds.Send the reels back to ark, they send it back to me. It still sound the same, so I did my own work and figure out the spool rubs on the frame and will scratch or bent the spool. The grinding noise wasn't a grind but scratching noise from the spool being bent.
