New to bfs and bait caster, was gonna go with another brand until I heard about the better breaking system. Took it out today and worked on casting hoping no back lash, well had a few, but I think due to me overcasting and speed, set cast break at 3 and played with outside controls, not sure I was casting well, casting maybe 20 yards with 1/8and tried a 3/8 rod is 5’6” Maxed good bfs pole. Still have much practice to get better casting. Like this reel just need to practice and also got the Gravity 2 coming for my distance setup. Thanks to RWR and CB’S YouTube’s .
I’ve watched many reviews on YouTube and read some on Facebook BFS groups and this thing didn’t disappoint. Once you dial in the desired internal brake setting, it casts very smoothly. I’ve only taken it out once for an initial test a couple of days ago and was successful with catching a largemouth bass with a micro bladed jig. If you’re looking to upgrade your BFS reel, this one will take you to the next level.
The Ark Gravity BFS reel is outstanding in both quality and performance. It’s incredibly smooth, easy to use, and feels solid in hand. What really sets it apart is how finely you can tune it—casting even the lightest lures with ease and precision. A perfect blend of control and smooth operation.
Great reel. Really love this reel. Nothing but good experience with this reel. Just wanted to point this out in case anyone doesn’t know. I was just getting ready for my fishing trip tomorrow and I decided to spool new line on and uh, I guess I held my line too tight while I was spooling 6lb Seagur line and broke my spool. See picture below. I’m a little sad about it I this my only setup.
Just got into bfs not to long ago and was getting by with a few my tatula sv's with micro spools but decided to pick one of these up. I've had the reel for a little over a month and have used it fairly heavily. It took a bit to dial it in for myself but when I eventually did it has been great. I've already picked up a second and will probably look for a third
