With the casting ability of the weight as low as 0.6gram(1/50oz), The new BFS version of the Gravity reel is going to be the best BFS reel in the market. The reel employed a 28mm dia. spool which weighs only 5.2gram(without bearing). Total weight is only 5.1oz. Got the Ark Gravity BFS reel in and tried it out on the water, Smooth as silk. Now looking for some spare spools so I can play with different line type setups.
Honestly I have the Shimano Curado bfs, this Ark reel cast lighter baits further without even getting used to it. Looks and feels amazing too!
Outstanding reels at an awesome price.I'm primarily a bass fisherman, throwing 1/16 - 1/4 oz lures. These reels do everything I ask of them & come back for more! They're lightweight, smooth &, once dialed in, cast like a rocket! I'm so impressed by them that I now own 7 of them!
Like many, this was my first taste of BFS equipment. I can gladly say I have not put it down since I received it. I took advantage of the Black Friday deal BOGO and ordered two reels. Those two reels have since been my workhorses. I use them for anything as low as 1/16th and above and it has handled 3 pounders with ease (and a lot of fun.) If you’re thinking of getting into BFS or are already familiar, these reels will be a worth addition to your arsenal.
I purchased this reel during the BOGO black Friday deal and split it with a buddy. It performs well once you get it dialed in. Would I purchase this again at the regular price? Probably not, but still a decent enough reel to use regularly.
