ARK Randall Tharp Signature Flipping Jig

I don’t think there is a better tool to catch a big bass than a flipping jig. I have been obsessed with building the perfect jig my entire career. I have designed several for various companies and hand-built thousands in my garage. There are a lot of good ones out there but all have been limited by one thing, the hook.

Ark has given me the opportunity to design a flipping jig and we started this process by designing the perfect hook - which is the backbone of my best work to date. We have created an o’shaughnessy bend, thin wire, 30 degree jig hook with a super slick coating applied to the raw hook. This hook is sharper, stronger, and penetrates better than any jig hook I have ever used.

I took this hook and matched it with a traditional ’sparkie” style head that I have been hand-pouring for years. I removed the lead on the shank to position weight as far forward as possible to achieve that perfect, vertical fall. I added a single wire, trailer keeper on the top of the shank so it will not interfere with this jig sliding through heavy cover with a chunk hanging on the back. We have a stiff weed guard inserted at the perfect angle so the jig comes through cover but collapses upon taking a bite to deliver the needle sharp hook point. A hand tied skirt in my favorite colors plus a chip proof paint job complete this jig making it the best flipping jig ever produced and available for you.
