Picked up this rod in hopes of it being a good rod for "shaking a minnow". This rod far exceeded my expectations. I have tried several rods for this technique and this is by far my favorite. The tip is extra fast and on the soft side which appears to help, but with plenty of backbone to drive the hook home. And you really can't beat the price. There are a lot of rods now being marketed for "the minnow", do yourself a favor and try this one first!

Used my rod for the first time yesterday 10/18 fishing in my clubs 2 day classic day 1 we are in 4th place, needless to say I have the 6’10 hartwell magic paired with a 25 series reel and it preformed amazing. My very first fish on the rod was a 4lber, pulled that fish right out of the grass with no problems at all.. I need a sponsorship being I’m about to buy 10 of the Cobb series rods lol
I love my new rod, light as feather and cheaper than expected for such quality. Only problem I have, is I haven't caught a fish on it yet. Hope to fix that this weekend. I had to try them, Tyler Berger is always raving about them and rightly so.
