Easy to dial in looks and preforms awesome pair it up with the invoker tour rod 6’8 medium extra fast as my fluke setup and caught a over 3 pound bass on my first time out fishing with it
Quality of build.
So far nice reel. Haven’t had a chance to use it on the water as it is December up here in the North. I have gotten to practice flipping with the G5 in my garage. So far so good. Time will tell
I haven’t been able to fish this reel so this is a review of form not function. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid the G5 feels. Tolerances seem pretty good and the overall finish looks quality. The fit in hand isn’t as good for me as other reels out there (small hands) but it’s still pretty good. The handle and knobs are a bit on the small side for my liking but not a deal breaker. I love the idea of the line indicator, however, the one on this reel isn’t super functional. Hard to read and hard to adjust. It they perform near as good as a Curado or Tatula, I’ll be jazzed.
