Not as great as the 3 and 4 generation Gravity reels but for the price, the quality is there.

This reel is a beast, and at less than $100 (with discount code) It is performing leaps and bounds better than my Daiwas in the $200 range. I'm getting greater distance and backlash control on my casts. Also the spool is "vented" meaning you do not need a backing if you wanted to go straight braid which is a nice bonus for me.

I have owned several of the Gravity Series reels and I have never had an issue with a single one of them. This is a great reel especially for the budget Angler. You won't find a better $100 reel on the market that meets all of your needs.
The gravity 2 isn’t just a good reel for the money, it performs much better than others priced higher than it.
