Invoker Tour Series Casting Rod
Great selection of lengths and actions. This purchase was the 5th and 6th for me. Light, strong, and high quality components.
Fantastic glide bait rod. Sweetspot is 2-5oz baits. I own several swimbait rods, but the rods for glides are the hardest to get right. Too soft and they mush out on the hook set, too firm and they won’t swim a glide with handle turns (not rod movement). This one is the perfect balance and has a nice tip and proper bottom end. Handle is proper length - 15.75” - , double footed guides, not tip heavy at all and a total 6.2oz weight. Just sign me up brother.
This 7’4 medium power, moderate fast action rod overnight became my go-to rod when I’m out on the lake—plenty of backbone when I’m setting the hook, and I can launch light lures. I have this paired with an Ark Gravity 2 reel on 12Lb Seaguar fluorocarbon fishing line. 10/10
I purchased 2 Invoker Pro composite rods, in 2024 on a BOGO sale. IVP70M-G and IVP74MH-G. Both rods have a nice look to them and are comfortable in the hand. I really do like the look of these rods, but I am not a fan of the micro guides. It doesn't really allow for leader knots, which limits your options. Since these are cranking rods, it is not a huge deal as I just use fluorocarbon with them.
The IVP74MH-G broke on me after a few months so I submitted a warranty claim and I was send the Invoker Tour model IVT74MH-G to replace the old Invoker Pro. This rod had one of the guides pop off about a month ago. It came clean out from the wrapping so I just stuck it back in and kept fishing. I am thinking I may just try to glue it back on. I also had the logo pop off on the bottom of the buttcap. The warranty is not as good on the Tour as it was on the Pro and I don't think it is worth $80 to fix this rod again.
I find these rods to have a spongy feel and are not that sensitive, but they do a good job keeping fish pinned. I do a lot of chatterbait fishing with the IVT74MH-G. Since these are the only glass rods I own, I can't compare them to other glass rods. I think I still prefer a graphite cranking rods.
