These are very nice and beautiful rods, but I have two things about them that might cause me to return them. I haven't used them yet or even taken the labels off.
Pros: the reel seats are Really nice and comfortable
the rods are very well balanced
Cons: When you get up to the 7' - 7'3" mhvy's they are on the heavier side. 4.3, 4.8 oz. respectively. The 4.3 I can deal with.
Micro guides are really tiny.
I run braid to leader on all my rods to save money on the fluoro with an alberto knot. I can't with these rods because the knot gets hung up at the tip. Only option for me is to run straight fluoro. These other comments about them being so light must be used to using heavier rods or they are talking about the smaller rods is all I can say. I have a 7'3" heavy rod from another brand that is lighter than the 4.8 oz.
This is one of the best rods ive ever used I landed a 7 pound bass with ease !
