Ultra-Lightweight Design
Constructed with a Carbon fiber frame and side plates, the reel weighs only 5.5 oz, reducing fatigue and enhancing balance on BFS rods.

Shallow BFS Spool
The 28 mm shallow spool is optimized for light line and micro lures, allowing faster startup, longer casts, and improved accuracy.  The spool sits on a short-shaft and micro-bearings to allow easier start up rotation for casting light lures, total weight is [3.52g].

Floating Cast Shaft

The Floating Cast Shaft is fully dis-engaged from the gear side during casting. This reduces vibration, adds casting stability, and greatly increases casting distance.

Cone Shaped Line Guide

The tapered line guide ring effectively reduces frictional resistance on the line therefore greatly improving casting distance.

GCS LT Braking System
Equipped with a GCS LT braking system, providing consistent control and easy adjustment to prevent backlash when casting ultra-light baits. 

High-Precision Bearings
Features 6+1 stainless steel bearings for smooth operation and two micro-bearings supporting the spool that allow easier start up rotation.  This enables casting of lighter lures and require less power to cast, reducing fatigue for extended fishing periods.

The Ark Gravity BF-Avid Reel was developed in collaboration with Jimmy Ly, raWr fishing, to deliver a simple and effective tool for those who wish to pursue ultralight fishing on a bait casting setup.  By adopting a braking style that does not increase spool weight, we have achieved a reel that can consistently cast the infamous Trout Magnet, which is a tiny plastic rigged on a 1/64 oz and is approximately 1 gram!  This can be achieved by using thin PE line as the main line!
