Love these rods

I fish a lot at Lake Lanier fishing for big spotted bass. These rods allow me to cast small baits a long distance, are extremely sensitive and have plenty of back bone to set the hook

Hartwell Magic ... Fantastic !

I have had my eyes on these rods for a year but was reluctant to buy one after reading some of the reviews about breakage and the fact that they have micro guides. Well the allure of BOGO hooked me (pun intended) so I picked up 2 Hartwell Magic rods to use as my all around soft plastics rods. Could not be any happier. They are light, ultra sensitive and have plenty of backbone. My reluctance with the micro guides was unfounded, as my 15lb. braid to 10lb. floro leader slipped right thru the guides with ease, and I'm not the best knot tier on top of it. Slapped a Lew's American Hero series reel (300) on them solely for the sake of matching the camo on the rod grip and I now have my 82nd Airborne Veteran designated rods and could not be happier or prouder of them !!!
