With NorCal trout season still in full effect, I have not had the opportunity to use them yet. Out the box, rod feels super light, solid build with custom reel seat. Very aesthetically pleasing.
The G2 has a small profile which can appear to be less than durable. Nothing can be further from the truth with a solid build. Its compact frame is easy to palm which translates to less fatigue. Also the drag feels consistent and doesn't stutter. I did add a dab of lube and it even came out even more buttery!

The combo feels well balanced as a whole. Light, durable & ready for a solid hookset. I like the reel seat specifically because it felt very comfortable in hand. I didn't have to do a death grip to feel secure. My hand just fit in!

All in all pleased with Ark Rod reel combo, just can't wait to slay a big slime pig on it. Also waiting to see what ARK has up their sleeve with their BFS side of things. Im hoping they also go with UL spinning setups to compliment each other in the process.

One of the best...

Seriously love this rod. So far this rod is moving up to the top of my lineup. I bought the "literally anything" rod and couldn't be happier. Super light in the hand, well balanced and very sensitive. I can feel my chatterbait blade knock on the fall. Ark rods have definitely impressed me and will be looking forward to scooping up some more in the future.
